Gegeben sei „Étant donnés“: 1° Das Tongefäß / 2° Der Blickfang.
Gegeben sei „Étant donnés“ besteht aus einer Kartonbox, die folgende Objekte beinhaltet:
- Ein Mini-Player/Lautsprecher mit Netzteil und Ladekabel („Das Tongefäß“), der eine Tonmontage aus Marcel Duchamps Vortrag „The Creative Act“ abspielt.
- einen Guckkasten („Der Blickfang“), der der eine Person zeigt, die durch die Tür von „Étant donnés“ schaut.
- ein Heft mit technischen Anweisungen.
- eine Abbildung einer Zeichnung mit dem Titel „Unsichtbare Flecken, die der Junggeselle heimlich pflegt“ . Dieser Titel wurde dem Entwurf von Marcel Duchamp „Broyeuse de chocolat [1ère ébauche]“ entnommen.

Given “Étant donnés”: 1° The sound vessel / 2° The eye-catcher- consists of a cardboard box containing the following objects:
- a mini player/speaker with power supply and charging cable (“The Sound Vessel”), which plays a sound montage from Marcel Duchamp's lecture “The Creative Act.”
- a peep box (“The Eye-Catcher”) showing a person looking through the door of “Étant donnés.”
- a booklet with technical instructions.
- an illustration of a drawing entitled “Invisible Stains, Secretly Cared for by the Bachelor.” This title was taken from Marcel Duchamp’s draft “Broyeuse de chocolat [1ère ébauche]”.
Étant donné « Étant donnés » se compose d'une boîte en carton contenant les objets suivants :
- un mini-lecteur/haut-parleur avec bloc d'alimentation et câble de recharge (« Das Tongefäß »), qui diffuse un montage sonore tiré de la conférence « The Creative Act » de Marcel Duchamp.
- un boîtier (« Der Blickfang ») qui montre une personne regardant à travers la porte de « Étant donnés ».
- un livret contenant des instructions techniques.
- une reproduction d'un dessin intitulé « Taches invisibles que le célibataire cultive secrètement ». Ce titre est tiré de l'ébauche de Marcel Duchamp « Broyeuse de chocolat [1ère ébauche] ».
Man könnte eine ganze Serie mit Dingen machen, die mit nur einem Auge…zu betrachten…oder mit einem Ohrs hören sind.
